The Iso885911Codec class converts between ISO 8859-11 and Unicode, using tables published by the Unicode Consortium. We have scripts to update the tables if/when a new revision of ISO 8859-11 is published.
According to the IANA, the canonical name for this is TIS-620. This is probably an oversight by the IANA, but it hasn't been corrected for many years and we don't know. For the time being, we follow the IANA's lead. If/when we have users in Thailand, we may change this, depending on their needs.
We actually do support ISO-8859-11, not just TIS-620. The only difference between the two is code point 0xA0, which is nonbreakspace in 8859-11 and undefined in TIS-620.
Constructs a codec for ISO 8859-11, using the table provided by the Unicode consortium.
