The aox anonymise command reads a mail message from the named file, obscures most or all content and prints the result on stdout. The output resembles the original closely enough to be used in a bug report.
This is most useful when a message has arrived but could not
be parsed
, as the error message says. You can save the appended
file, perhaps anonymise it (unless it's spam), then send it to the
Archiveopteryx developers for analysis.
Note that the command aox reparse -e saves all unparsable messages in separate files, anonymised if possible.
